Photoshoot nICE.
This photoshoot was about the fusing together of two contrasting liiks. Ice queen Vs romantic dream. Influenced by Lady Gaga's futuristic burst onto the music and fashion scene and the innocence of a heroine. Looking at giving a frosting to an angelic wardrobe by mixing together sheers and seequins with lace and bows.
My parents/ influences
I think a lot of my style and influences have come from my parents. In their day my parents had some cool dress sense. I always used to try on all my mum's clothes. I was always taken to car boot sales with them selling clothes. They made a small business out of buying and selling clothes. I was also dragged to jumble sales and charity shops all the time.
Me and my little sister always used to put on fashion shows and force the rest of the family to pay to watch them.
Also I think I have got a lot of my confidence from my dad. The fact that our family are all entertainers has given me the confidence to approach people, speak in large groups without being intimidated. Excellent skills for the fashion industry!!!.

Fashion show fundraiser
Sunnies and Cider, Bands and Tommo.
Hamptons Bar
I am currently working at Hamptons Bar in Bournemouth. I am working the bar and also helping them with the re- branding, marketing and promotion.
We are also going to hold a fundraising gig there for the Fashion show. I've also put my friend Tommo in touch with them and he is going to be putting on student nights on a monday night called paparazzi to help target a new market. Tommo is on a placement year at uni and has set up his own events management company. It is a great success as he puts on gigs throughout a number of the top bars in Bournemouth such as The Orange rooms, 176 and Lava. I met him whilst working at Fruit. I have also helped him to promote one of his gigs at The Orange Rooms by helping to sell tickets in the uni arts bar and to friends. I was also planning a fundraising gig with him for the fashion show called Boutique where we were going to use the pub The Winchester and have a retro themed gig with bingo, a jumble sale, cake stall etccc as he has some good contacts and experience with event management. We decided to not do the gig in the end. He's a good contact to have!
Relays
Me and Izzy from FDA Fashion and two graphic design students taught a number of workshops to secondary school students at a school in Bridport.
We taught Graphic design and styling and worked on customizing and printing on T.Shirts. The students flicked through magazines and made their own collages and T.Shirt designs to be scanned into the computer, reversed on Photoshop and printed onto T.Shirt printing paper to be ironed onto white T. shirts which the students could keep. We did this also at an urban festival at the school. This festival focused on motivating de- motivated teenagers. At the festival there were workshops on free jumping, skating, BMXing, D.Jing, graffitti and T.Shirt customization. The kids loved it, the festival got a raving review in The Times educational supliment and many of the kids have now taken an interest in fashion and graphic design as a result.
Ideas of Industrial Shutdown
Looking at regeneration of generation.
My sister took some images of a tin cup, tomato sauce bottle and a pint of beer, also an image of a red London bus through a classic English pub with a lampshade when we visited Battersea Power station. Very iconicly British. Big source of inspiration.
We were also aloud into Thames water to take pictures which looked at old V's new/ metal v's brick.
Looking at punk and distressing of fabrics such as leather/ denim, anti conformist actions of The Sex Pistols and Banksey, V ivienne Westwood is also famous for pushing the boundries of the fashion world.
Inspired by deralict buildings.
Waste not want not.
Punky rich v's sophisticated agression.
